Island Silk Shampoo Bar

I have not used the product for two reasons. The fragrance is overwhelming (strong) and being in contact with overwhelming odors causes an asthmatic reaction. I do not know how long the odor would last in my hair, but I am not willing to find out and have not taken the bars from their individual bags. Secondly, with the price of the product being as expensive as it is, it would be helpful if the first order would include a appropriate kind of soap dish to use after the bars have been used. I will be looking for someone to gift these bars to, as I will not be using them.

Love the idea of cutting down on plastic that comes into my home. I wasn't sure what to think about the shampoo bar at first. After the first wash, I was hooked! My hair was squeaky clean, shiny, and super soft. I am super sensitive to a lot of chemicals and ingredients in products and often break out with contact dermatitis and that makes me leery of trying new products. Happily, I have had no adverse reactions!

I love the scent! It lathers so easily and left my hair soft and shiny! And it helps me cut down on plastic waste too

After my 1st purchase, I wrote a review praising the product and criticizing the packaging. BUT--I liked the product enough to order again. This time - WORSE packaging! Not only did the bars come in individual plastic bag tied with plastic raffia, but each bar was wrapped in plastic bubble wrap. Really? One of my main reasons for ordering a bar is to reduce my use of plastic. Not sure I"ll be placing a 3rd order.

I was excited to try bar shampoos and conditioner to avoid the ever-growing plastic problem. I am pleased with the aroma and using a product like this for the first time...but I was surprised and disappointed that the item arrived in a plastic bag inside the shipping box. I ordered a conditioner bar at the same time and had to come back onto the website to determine which was which. Although there is a check box on the bag to indicate shampoo or conditioner, neither bag had a mark. In addition, there were no instructions. OK, OK... everybody knows how to use a bar--but I wasn't sure how to use for the 1st time for my hair. Seems to me BASIN should print the product name and simple instructions on plain, recyclable cardboard that wraps around each bar. Eliminate the plastic! Help out your customer!

I have been using shampoo bars for about two months now and this one is by far my favorite! It has a great scent! I love that the product is more environmentally friendly than plastic bottles, has less chemicals, AND is great for travel. I no longer have to worry about too many liquids in my carry on. Bonus the conditioner bar comes in a matching scent!

I will never go back to using regular shampoo. These shampoo bars are amazing to use and so compact to travel with. I recently colored by hair and i feel like this has also helped not strip the color away as quickly.

I have used a few different scents and this one is by far my favorite smell. So tropical and clean! I also love the way my scalp feels.

This bar lathers so well and smells amazing! Leaves my hair feeling clean and without any buildup I'm sold!
