Bath bombs are more than just a novelty object or popular trend. When made with simple and nourishing ingredients bath bombs can be soothing for both the mind and body. They're easy to use and provide fast relief for those extra-stressful days!
What are they made of?Most bath bombs are made from the same two basic ingredients: baking soda and citric acid.
Baking soda can be mildly exfoliating. It also naturally brightens dark spots and pigmentation and eliminates body odors with its antibacterial properties. Citric acid is an organic compound found in citrus fruits. It's packed with antioxidants, protecting the skin from everyday environmental aggressors like pollution and germs. Similar to baking soda, citric acid can help even out skin tone.
What do they do?When these two ingredients interact with water a fizzing reaction occurs. As the bath bomb dissolves it releases any added color, fragrance, and bonus ingredients like salts, oils, or butters. The water becomes soft which, in turn, softens the skin. You don't necessarily have to suffer from dry skin or skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis to benefit from bath bombs. Everyone deserves to take time to treat their skin to nourishment. Soaking is not only relaxing, but beneficial for your health!

The concept of self-care is relatively new, originating as a medical term in the 60s and 70s. Sometimes it's setting aside time to read a book. [...]
